A transit mixer truck (RMC) is a truck-mounted concrete mixer with a rotating drum that transports ready-mix concrete from the batching plant to the construction site. The drum keeps the mix agitated during transit, maintaining workability until discharge.
The transit mixer truck is the standard vehicle used in ready-mix concrete (RMC) supply. It receives freshly batched concrete from the plant, then transports it to the placement site while the drum rotates slowly to keep the mix uniform and workable.
At the site, the drum rotation is reversed and the concrete is discharged through a chute. The operator can control the discharge rate and position, allowing accurate placement into formwork, foundations, columns, and slabs.
Transit mixer trucks are available in different drum capacities, drive configurations (hydraulic or PTO), and chassis options to suit different fleet sizes and project requirements. They are used widely in RMC plants, large construction sites, and infrastructure projects.
J.R. Machinery India manufactures transit mixer truck bodies engineered for reliable concrete transport. Our mixers feature heavy-duty drums, wear-resistant blades, robust hydraulic drive systems, and sturdy chassis mounting. Options are available for different drum capacities, discharge configurations, and truck chassis to suit specific fleet requirements.
